This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Video Thumbnails Previewer browser extension ("Extension") and when you visit thumbnailspreview.com ("Site"). By using either, you acknowledge the practices described below.
No Personal Data Collection
The Extension processes every video entirely inside your browser. We do not capture, log, store, or transmit your browsing history, video content, search queries, or any other personal information to our servers—because we do not run any servers that receive it. Your activity never leaves your device.
Optional Site-Support Requests
If you choose to use the "Request Site Support" feature inside the extension, we collect the video page URL you submit and, if you are logged in, your email address.
We use this information only to contact you about the request and to prioritize new site integrations. The data is encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold or shared.
Cookies and Analytics
The Site uses only one essential, non-tracking cookie to remember language preferences and ensure basic functionality. We do not employ third-party analytics, advertising beacons, fingerprinting, or any other form of cross-site tracking.
Payment Information
When you upgrade to the Pro version, payment is handled by a third-party processor that receives and stores your billing details. We never see or store your credit-card number. The processor's own privacy policy governs that data.
Crash Reports and Diagnostics
If the Extension encounters an error, a brief, anonymous diagnostic log (containing no URLs, video titles, or personal identifiers) may be sent to our error-tracking service so we can fix bugs quickly. You can disable this in the Extension settings at any time.
Data Security
All local processing relies on browser sandboxing for isolation. No raw video is uploaded. Any optional logs are transmitted via TLS encryption and deleted automatically after 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The Extension and Site are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.
International Users
Although we are based in Victoria, Australia, our "no server, no transfer" design means the strictest privacy standards—such as the EU GDPR and California CCPA—are effectively met by default because we do not retain personal data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or regulatory changes. The latest version will always appear on the Site, and material changes will be announced within the Extension.
